Shari Solomon is a commercial real estate attorney with WolfBlock LLP, where she concentrates her practice on the representation of owners and developers in the acquisition, development, financing, leasing and disposition of office buildings, shopping centers, and industrial properties. She received her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of Business. Shari is the Co-VP of Partnerships for the Women's MBA Network and in that capacity helps to facilitate the Professional Women's Super Network of the Delaware Valley. She is also the mother of four daughters ranging in age from 10 to 16 and has contemplated applying for official sorority status at her home in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
Wilmarie Gonzalez was appointed by Governor Ed Rendell as PA State Long Term Care Ombudsman and Director for the Bureau of Advocacy, Protection & Education at the Department of Aging in August 2005. Ms. Gonzalez comes from the private sector, and has been involved with many organizations advocating for minorities and the elderly communities. She spent ten years at PECO, An Exelon Company in various positions. Ms. Gonzalez received her M.S. in Management from Rosemont University, B.S. in Organizational Management from Eastern University, and certifications from PA State University as a project manager, and Resolution Facilitator from Cornell University.
Lola Sergeant is a seasoned entrepreneur and business leader with over 20 years experience in strategic business planning, marketing and business management. Ms. Sergeant is the co-founder of Inspired Creations - a global start-up company involved in the manufacturing and retailing of Christian-themed luxury products that provide inspiration and comfort. Inspired Creations was founded as a social venture which promotes social entrepreneurship by building partnerships with faith-based organizations. Ms Sergeant has also been an ardent supporter and advocate of urban redevelopment and has actively supported the increase in business and commercial activity in urban communities. A track and field standout in high school and college, Ms Sergeant is a certified USATF official and officiates events throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region. Ms. Sergeant has an MBA in General Management from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Cornell University.
Kimberly is a Career Coach and HR Consultant guiding individual and organizational development. Her experience spans more than 15 years in human resources and consulting positions in a variety of industries. Before starting her own practice, KT Consulting & Coaching, Kimberly held the position of VP, Director of Human Resources for Managers Investment Group, a mid-sized financial firm. Kimberly is also working on a book about the careers and lives of women 10-15 years out of the top MBA programs. Kimberly completed her undergraduate work at the University of Pennsylvania and received her MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. She is also a qualified Myers Briggs (MBTI) administrator.
Leslie Green is Associate Director, Global Forecasting at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and her responsibilities include forecasting revenues for the Premarin family of products. Leslie has over 20 years of experience in financial management. She earned her undergraduate degree in Accounting from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and earned her MBA from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Leslie has served the Women's MBA Network as the (Interim) Treasurer and as a Co-VP of Events prior to her current role as Co-VP of Partnerships.
Kathy Corry currently manages the strategic primary research efforts for the healthcare business of Thomson Reuters. She graduated with an MBA in marketing from The George Washington University in 2004. Growing up in St. Louis, Kathy first came to the east coast for an internship at a research consultancy in Philadelphia, and is now in her tenth year living in the city.
Alma Gilo works in Client and Partner Development for MRINetwork, a global franchisor of executive search firms. Alma received her engineering degree from the University of Pennsylvania and her MBA from Drexel University's Lebow College of Business Accelerated One Year Program. She lives in Center City and enjoys visiting far-off locales, solving a good brain teaser, and running in road races.
Simone L. Pollard is the Assistant Dean, Graduate Business Programs at the Villanova School of Business where she is responsible for the operations and administration of the graduate business degree programs. She has been a board member of the Women's MBA Network for about one year and is currently the Co-Vice President of the MBA Initiative. Ms. Pollard is also a dancer and has studied ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and West African dance forms since she was three. She continues to dance in her new hometown of the Philadelphia metro area. Ms. Pollard has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia and an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
Julie Tanpitukpong is currently a sales associate at FAMECO Real Estate, a commercial retail real estate brokerage firm. She graduated with an MBA in 2005 and a Masters in Finance from Drexel University in 2007. Julie is the Co-Chair of the MBA Initiative for the Women's MBA Network. Julie enjoys traveling, salsa dancing, networking, and tennis.
Catherine Adams has over thirteen years experience providing lending and cash management solutions to businesses located in Philadelphia and the surrounding suburban communities. She is currently a Vice President and Relationship Manager for Wachovia's Business Banking Group. Cathy has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from The College of William and Mary and a MBA in Financial Management from Drexel University. She is the Treasurer for the Women's MBA Network. Cathy also acts as Certification Committee Chair for the Women's Business Development Center and also participates on a CEO Advisory Board for NAWBO's Athena Program.
June earned a doctorate in Business Administration from Southern Illinois University. She has been an Assistant Professor in the School of Business at La Salle since 2003. At La Salle, she specializes in teaching and researching in a variety of areas, including: Marketing Management, Marketing Research, Principles of Marketing, E-Commerce and Internet Marketing, and Consumer Behavior. She also spends time as a Freshman Advisor, as a Faculty Advisor for La Salle University Association of Women MBAs, and on the Faculty Development Committee. Her hobbies include playing ping pong, playing tennis, cooking Sichuan cuisine, traveling, and playing bridge. Carmen Bonilla is a realtor with Coldwell Banker Hearthside - Southhampton. She has been active in volunteerism, workshop attendance and board involvement in both the Latino and non Latino community for the past ten years with such organizations as the Latino Leadership Alliance of Bucks County (LLABC), Latino Partnership Initiative (LPI), the Governor's Advisory Commission on Latino Affairs (GACLA), the Pennsylvania Statewide Latino Coalition (PSLC), the Hispanic Leadership Development Program (HLDP) of United Way, and many others. Whether it's through her knowledge or her ability to seek out the appropriate assistance from professionals in related fields, she knows that her friends, clients, constituents and members of the community will receive the best representation and they will be assured that she will be there whenever needed.
