The MBA Initiative enables the Women's MBA Network to mentor and support collaborative efforts led by female MBA students from Philadelphia-area business schools, including the Wharton School, Drexel University's LeBow College of Business, La Salle University School of Business, Villanova School of Business and Temple University Fox School of Business.
In 2008, the MBA Initiative supported a collaborative event focused on entrepreneurship at Drexel University's LeBow College of Business, titled Navigating the Challenges of Entrepreneurship (see below) which was open to graduate students from business schools in the Philadelphia region. The MBA Initiative coordinates approximately two collaborative events per academic year. Event topics are driven by student interest, and the Women's MBA Network leverages its network, expertise, and resources in support of such events.
The student initiative has been the catalyst for an amazing alliance among all of the school-based Women MBA student organizations in the Philadelphia Metro Area. Through this initiative we have been able to collaborate in creating networking and professional development events that cater to all of the representative students unique and common needs. The Women's MBA Network has been instrumental in supporting us with professional level support and encouragement in all of our endeavors. The mentoring and networking that has been facilitated through this relationship has been invaluable to myself and the general body of LAWMBA (LaSalle Association of Women MBAs).
